Part 2

The Inside Story

Ranchi, Jharkhand

Three Suspects Arrested in Land Broker's Killing

The Ranchi police apprehended three suspects on Sunday morning in connection with the murder of land broker Kundan, who was fatally shot on June 20 in the Lalpur area. The arrested individuals, Rohit, Rahul, and Gunesh Arora, aged around 23 years, were found in possession of two firearms used in the crime—a countrymade revolver and a 9mm pistol.

During a press conference, Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar disclosed that Rohit and Rahul were the sons of contractor Arvind Singh, who was killed in 2010. Kundan, a former associate of Arvind Singh, was implicated in his murder. The motive behind Kundan's killing was to avenge their father's murder, allegedly due to an affair between Arvind and Kundan's first wife.

The senior officer revealed that Rohit and Rahul devised an intricate plan to ensnare Kundan. They created a fictitious email ID and Facebook account under a girl's name, initiating communication with the land broker. On the day of the incident, the duo lured Kundan to a coffee shop in Lalpur, claiming that he could meet the girl there. As Kundan approached the shop, Rohit and Rahul, who were tracking him, shot him.

The police are now working on retrieving information from the deleted email and Facebook accounts to further aid the investigation.
